Samples of Water
http://www.mjgarcia-fitness.com/jzynd98zevw The World Water Museum is a permanently ongoing, interactive, artistic and interdisciplinary project. It expresses strong environmental concern over the issues of degradation, contamination and depletion of clean, drinkable water resources of our planet., as well as the consequences of the privatization of this valuable natural heritage. It seeks to raise public awareness by encouraging people to think more deeply, to be more active and to act faster by opening a protective embrace for this precious natural good without which life is impossible.
This is a deeply symbolic attempt to characterize water as a http://www.emcgrath.com/82t85sl “museum piece”, through the collection of water samples from rivers and lakes around the world and their integration into the installation as “museum exhibits.” The preservation of fresh water samples, as a symbolic act and expression agonizing environmental concern. A “museum” without the usual scientific classification criteria and precious objects, but which deals with something priceless and does seeks to emphasize the respect we owe to it.
Since water is emerging as one of the most important resources of our planet, the symbolism of our WWM calls alert to this and the announced future scarcity. This highlights the implications of groundwater and aboveground water pollution and at the same time expresses the need to defend the right of access of all human beings and living organisms on Earth.
https://enlucarne.com/2022/05/11/sl2ju7am4 Citizens from all over the world are invited to choose a river or a lake and volunteer to send a water sample. Pupils, students, teachers, professors, scientists, educators, cultural organizations, scientific and environmental associations, non-governmental organizations, media, municipalities, communities, companies and in general those who wish, are invited to become contributors of the Museum.
Since 2011 the World Water Museum has been developed through a large global interaction, it has been periodically exhibited in places that were semantically interconnected with the core of its idea. It held a number of actions, events, performances, online workshops, etc. It received water samples from around the world, took part in exhibitions and conferences, collaborated internationally with scientists, artists, pupils, students, professors, etc. This participating character of this project composes substance and condition, as in order for the samples of water to be collected, the people must participate – as for the dealing of the problem and the potential lack of water!
